Landry's Paralysis in an Infant

چکیده
1J. 1 XI. A child aged years was brought to the out-patients with complaint that he had been unable to stand up for the last six days. On examination, I found that his right lower extremity was paralysed. His thigh as well as leg muscles were affected. Patellar reflexes and ankle clonus were absent. Atrophy of the muscles was not apparent; the skin was slightly colder than on the opposite side; bowels and bladder worked normally; there was no fever; the child was irritable and restless throughout the examination.

The varied causes of the syndrome are emphasised, as well as the necessity to exclude compression as a caus...
